Dieter Räder of Fine Bookbinding is a long established and well respected bookbinder.

He served a four year apprenticeship and taught for a year in Germany, followed by a year in Vienna and a year in Marseilles. In Vienna he studied industrial bookbinding and in Marseilles he became skilled in the intricate art of hand bindings.

With six years full-time apprenticeship, he came to England and spent two years with a Master Bookbinder specialising in Antiquarian Books.

For the past fifteen years he has lived and run his own business in the historically rich area of Somerset in the West of England. Here he has established a reputation both with local traders and the International Market.

His reputation for restoration work on antiquarian books, has led to working with many famous university libraries and museums. Royalty and many international book dealers are now amongst his clients for exclusively designed bindings.

He has always believed that his skills should be available to everyone and likes to keep his prices competitive.
